Everything’s Bigger and Fairer in Texas: Cowboys Top NFL Fan Value Rankings

Everything’s bigger in Texas—and when it comes to the Cowboys, everything’s smarter too.

Key Takeaways

  • The Dallas Cowboys claimed the top spot in a nationwide affordability and fan experience index, outperforming all 31 other NFL teams.
  • While Green Bay and Kansas City followed closely behind, neither could match the Cowboys’ combination of historic pedigree, elite performance, and fan-first pricing.
  • Despite being one of the NFL’s biggest brands—with the trophies, reach, and stadium size to prove it—Dallas refuses to cash in at the expense of its supporters.

As one of the most iconic franchises in all of sports, the Dallas Cowboys have every reason to charge premium prices. They play in one of the NFL’s largest stadiums, boast five Super Bowl titles, and command an unmatched 9.3 million+ strong social media following.

Yet, unlike many teams with far fewer credentials, Dallas doesn’t pass the cost of greatness on to its fans.

In fact, Cowboys tickets and hotel costs remain surprisingly reasonable, especially when compared to other major markets, making a trip to AT&T Stadium not just legendary, but accessible.

This balanced approach earned Dallas a final fan value score of 4.13 out of 5—the highest in the league—cementing its place not just as “America’s Team,” but also the best-value team in the NFL today.

Chasing the Pack

Coming in second was the Green Bay Packers, whose storied history and iconic Lambeau Field continue to deliver one of the most beloved—and affordable—fan experiences in the NFL.

Despite higher ticket prices, the Packers’ strong win record and low hotel costs helped them secure silver. For those making the snowy pilgrimage to Wisconsin, it’s a game day experience steeped in legacy and loyalty.

Mahomes & Margin

The Kansas City Chiefs, led by perennial MVP contender Patrick Mahomes, clinched third place. While they topped the league in win percentage and enjoy massive fan engagement, higher-than-average hotel costs and rising demand nudged them slightly behind the Cowboys.

Still, Arrowhead Stadium remains one of the most electric venues in football—and for Chiefs fans, that premium experience still comes at a fair price.

On the Other End…

Teams like the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders struggled in the rankings due to a mix of high costs and lower recent performance.

Patriots fans may still bask in the glow of six Super Bowl rings, but with hotel prices soaring and the Brady era in the rearview, Foxborough is no longer a bargain.

The Social Surge

It’s not all about wins and wallet size—fan engagement matters too. Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Pittsburgh Steelers scored highly thanks to massive followings and consistent on-field performance.

Meanwhile, teams like Houston and Jacksonville struggled to generate buzz, contributing to lower overall rankings.

Methodology

This study, conducted on behalf of Freebets.com, analyzed all 32 NFL franchises across seven key categories:

  • Stadium Capacity

  • Stadium Rating (via Google Reviews)

  • Super Bowl Wins

  • Win % from 2020–2024

  • Average Ticket Price (USD)

  • Average Hotel Price (Oct 2025 –Jan 2026)

  • Social Media Engagement (Instagram + Twitter followers)

Each factor was normalised on a scale from 1 to 5. Cities with multiple teams (e.g., New York, Los Angeles) had their scores averaged.
The final score represents a comprehensive look at affordability, access, and fan experience across the league.
