It’s finally here! After a long two week stretch, the SEC game of the year is about to happen.

Week 11 in college football is guaranteed to shake-up the college football playoff ranking. A battle between No. 2 LSU and No. 3 Alabama has been brewing since week one, and both teams have had a bye week to prepare. Alabama leads the series 53-25-5 and has won eight straight.

In the Big Ten, Iowa and Wisconsin will fight for the Heartland Trophy. The winner of this game will most likely play a winner take all with Minnesota for the Big Ten West, and a Big Ten Championship berth.

No. 18 Iowa at No. 13 Wisconsin

Both teams have had a lot of time to prepare for this rivalry. The Hawkeyes are going to live and die by their defense. Their run defense is stout, and they haven’t surrendered more than 17 points in a loss this season. The big issue with the Hawkeyes comes from the offensive side of the ball. Iowa simply can’t run the ball. Wisconsin, however, loves to run. Other than against Ohio State, the Badgers have imposed their will on the ground, and their defense can hold its own.

With a week off after its two-game losing streak, Wisconsin can settle back into their winning ways. The Badgers will do just enough, and get crucial field positioning aid from their defense to edge Iowa.

Prediction: Wisconsin 23, Iowa 17

No. 2 LSU at No. 3 Alabama

Finally a challenge for Alabama. LSU is battle-tested, road-tested, and college football playoff approved. If they can win this game, there’s no reason to believe that they won’t be in the playoff regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship game. The Tigers will score, and shouldn’t have a problem moving the ball against the Tide after what they were able to do against Florida and Auburn.

The key battle of this game will be the Tiger defense against future NFL receivers, running backs, and the potential No. 1 overall pick quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Auburn and Florida both possess young quarterbacks who inevitably couldn’t keep up with the Tigers offense on the road. Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns with an inferior rushing attack and inferior receivers compared to Alabama.

If this game turns into a shootout, Alabama has the weapons to keep up and do much more. Everyone is in for a real treat Saturday afternoon.

Prediction: Alabama 30, LSU 28
