With demand for women’s basketball at an all-time high, Oddspedia have analyzed almost 10,000 news articles to reveal the top 30 most popular WNBA players that have been dominating the headlines so far this year.
Brittney Griner officially returns to the WNBA after announcing her re-signing with the Phoenix Mercury. Griner is the most talked about player from the league featuring in 2124 articles this year. The top news was about her return to the US after being detained in Russia on drug charges.

Breanna Stewart has been making a buzz with 1234 articles so far this year, ranking her second most talked about player. The double WNBA champion winner and MVP made headlines in February for leaving Seattle Storm and signing with the New York Liberty.
