Manchester City is unsurprisingly becoming the leading contenders in the Premier League again this season
However, while everyone was applauding their performance last season, they seemed to be somewhat numb at the start of this season. Whether you call it a Trable hangover or the prominence of injuries, they are not very up to the mark with their playing style and consistency.

However, the fans still believe that they are going to retain the Premier League for the fourth consecutive time. Injuries are temporary, and they are all set again with one of the most prolific midfielders of this era, Kevin De Bruyne.

Apart from that, Rodri was suspended for three matches, and as a result, they lost all of those domestic matches. However, with the return of these two prominent players from Pep Guardiola’s side, they are all set to deal with the league competitors again. Interestingly, they are again holding the 2nd position in the league table with just two points behind Liverpool.

Apart from all these scenarios from Manchester City, some eyes are looking ahead!

Most football fans are looking for the dark horse of this season in the Premier League. No doubt Liverpool is at their peak form to claim the title, and thus on our list as well. But there are some other contenders we can arguably look at.

If you are not convinced enough, try out today’s soccer schedule and get to know things better about the current conditions on and off the field.

Teams That Might Shock The League Lovers At The Business End

As English soccer’s 2023/24 Premier League season approaches, soccer enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to see which teams will emerge as the favorites.

While the usual suspects such as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are expected to be in the mix, there are a few dark horses that could surprise the league lovers at the business end.

Here, we will consider a closer look at five teams that could potentially shock the league and challenge for the title.

Liverpool

Liverpool is considered one of the favorites to win the Premier League 2023-24!

While Manchester United is continuing their bad form and inconsistent management under Ten Hag, Liverpool has lost all the dark memories of last season to become the best for the contemporary one.

They are at the top of the table with just one loss out of 20 games while bagging 13 wins to bring the most points.

The team has a strong midfield led by Dominik Szoboszlai and an impressive attacking line with the likes of Mohamed Salah. He has already registered some important goals for the team.

Additionally, Liverpool has a strong track record in the Premier League, having won the title multiple times in the past. All these factors make them one of the top contenders for the Premier League title in the 2023-24 season.

Aston Villa

If you are looking for a dark horse to bet on for the Champions League qualification in 2023-24, Aston Villa might be the one for you. The club has been completely transformed since Unai Emery took over as the manager last year.

Emery has brought in some impressive players like Emi Buendia and Danny Ings. Well, they have been instrumental in the team’s recent success. They are currently sitting in the 3rd position in the Premier League table. So, they have a great chance of finishing in the top four.

Aston Villa has a strong defense and a potent attack, making them a difficult team to beat. They have already defeated some of the top teams like Manchester United and Chelsea this season, proving that they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Moreover, Aston Villa has a good track record in the Champions League, having won the competition in the past. With Emery’s tactical acumen and the team’s current form, they could surprise everyone and qualify for the Champions League in 2023-24.

Tottenham Hotspur F.C. has been on a roll in the current Premier League season. The team has already taken on some of the toughest competitors in the league, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, and remained unbeaten. This impressive feat speaks volumes about the team’s competitiveness and determination to win this season’s league title.

Under the guidance of their new manager, Antonio Conte, Spurs have transformed into a formidable force on the field. Conte’s tactical acumen and his ability to instill a winning mentality in his players have been instrumental in the team’s success so far.

Moreover, Tottenham has a rich history in the Premier League, having won the title twice in the past. This experience and the hunger to achieve more make them a strong contender for the league title this season.

Additionally, Tottenham has a strong squad with some of the most talented players in the league. Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Dele Alli are just a few of the players who have been performing exceptionally well this season. Their attacking prowess, combined with a solid defense, has made them a tough team to beat.

Arsenal

It’s true that Arsenal had a strong showing last season, coming close to winning the title. Unfortunately, they fell short in the end, especially after the injury to center-back William Saliba.

However, they are looking like serious contenders once again this season based on their current form. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain their momentum and challenge for the Premier League title in the upcoming season.

West Ham United FC

Yes, West Ham United FC has been performing impressively this season and cannot be overlooked as a contender for the Premier League title. They have been dominant in their performances, with a high win percentage so far.

With the likes of Declan Rice and Michail Antonio leading the charge, they have the potential to challenge the traditional big teams and make a mark in the Premier League.

It will be interesting to see how they perform in the coming months and whether they can sustain their impressive form.
