Voting for the 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is underway, so the time to send your favorite players to Arlington has arrived.
Some players in the early part of the season have certainly done their part to stand out above the rest.

Let’s take a hack at the American League’s starting lineup for the 2024 All-Star Game!

American League Starters

1B: Josh Naylor, Cleveland Guardians

Naylor is the best option at a weak position this year in the American League.

Despite his .232 batting average, he has recorded a .800 OPS and racked up 50 RBI with 17 homers.

2B: Michael Massey, Kanas City Royals

Massey is not a well-known name, but one that you might want to start getting familiar with as his play has helped the Royals stay competitive as a second-place team in the AL Central. Massey is hitting .294 with a .835 OPS. These carry his case as he has six homers and 23 RBI on the year as well.

SS: Bobby Witt Jr, Royals

Witt just edges out Baltimore’s Gunnar Henderson for the starting nod, as both have emerged as AL MVP candidates early on.

Witt is hitting .325 with 11 homers, 50 RBI, and a .931 OPS to help lead the Royals with his aforementioned teammate, Massey.

3B: Jose Ramirez, Guardians

Once again, Ramirez shows why he is one of baseball’s best as he edges out Boston’s Rafael Devers for the starting spot.

Ramirez is hitting .269 with 18 homers, 62 RBI, and a .864 OPS.

C: Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles

Rutschman’s superb defense gives him the nod for the starting spot, as his offensive numbers are heavily rivaled by Kansas City’s Salvador Perez. Rutschman is hitting .292 with 13 homers, 52 RBI, and a .803 OPS.

OF: Aaron Judge, New York Yankees

Judge is the leading candidate for the AL MVP right now, looking to win his second (should be third) of his career. Judge is hitting .301 but also leads the MLB in RBI (63), homers (25), and OPS (1.115).

He could break his own AL single-season home run record by year’s end, a mark he set in his 2022 AL MVP season when he hit 62.

OF: Juan Soto, Yankees

Soto has transformed the Yankees lineup and taken a huge load of pressure off Judge. The two combine to create an almost unstoppable duo, and Soto might be the only player who can take away the MVP from his teammate.

Soto is hitting .319, with 17 homers, 54 RBI, and 1.024 OPS (third in MLB).

OF: Kyle Tucker, Houston Astros

While currently on the IL, Tucker was putting up monster numbers before injuring his right shin. Tucker is hitting .266 with 19 homers, 40 RBI, and a .970 OPS. He’s one of the only bright spots on an Astros team that has been terrible.

DH: David Fry, Guardians

Fry is a huge reason why the Guardians currently sit first in the AL Central. He’s hitting .317 with eight homers, 30 RBI, and a .990 OPS.
